THE Feminine Voice IN OUR LITURGY

You may have noticed recently that we added a "feminine voice" to our liturgy with a meditation reading each week after Communion. See the bulletin for this week's meditation by Sister Joan Chittister.

Based in Erie PA Joan Chittister is a Benedictine sister (O.S.B.), former prioress of her congregation, past president of Leadership Conference of Women Religious, and a social psychologist with a doctorate in speech communication theory. She is also the author of several best selling books, including "In a High Spiritual Season," and " The Fire in These Ashes" and "Heart of Flesh."

Domestic Violence Outreach

If you are currently in a disturbing relationship or still feel the effects of one in the past, or if you simply want information to help someone you know who is in trouble, please call (412) 443-7898 and leave your name and a safe phone number to reach you. Someone will call you and arrange a time for a free consultation. Counselor is available by appointment.

There are many forms of abuse. Understanding is the beginning of the solution.
